Hello! I'm Zoe, founder of Reimagined Pilates and lover of all things physical and mental well-being.

When I'm not doing Pilates, teaching or planning classes, you can usually find me crocheting or spending time with my boyfriend and friends.

Why I trained as a Pilates instructor

After graduating from university in 2023, I started a full time job working in the events team at a charity. This job involved sitting at a desk on a computer Monday to Friday. I have scoliosis and it became obvious quite quickly that this job wasn't going to be suitable for my back. I was in a lot of pain daily and had to take two weeks sick leave.

At this point I knew that I wouldn't be able to do this job long term and I needed to think of another option. This proved a lot harder than I thought as SO many jobs these days involve sitting at a desk on a computer all week.

At the same time, I started seeing an osteopath who recommended that I started doing Pilates for my scoliosis and overall fitness. After attending my first class and realising that I could do this as a job, I knew what I needed to do: become a pilates instructor!

It made perfect sense. If I beca
me a Pilates instructor then not only will I be doing my exercises for my back as my job but I would also be able to help other people in similar situations as myself. 

So, I found a training course and 3 months later, I qualified as a Pilates matwork instructor
 with APPI

My teaching style

I have a very relaxing teaching style and my main aim in my classes is to make sure that everyone feels comfortable and happy. I will gently encourage you to push yourself but also want to create an environment that means if you don't feel like pushing yourself that is absolutely okay. From day to day, our energy levels and physical and mental capacity can change and I try to reflect this in the adaptability of my classes.

My main feedback whenever I teach people
is that I have a very calming voice and make people feel super relaxed. So, if you've had a stressful week, come along to one of my classes and I promise you'll leave feeling much calmer.
